Rearing Our Children on Christian Knowledge

24 “Whoever hears these words of Mine and does them, will be like a wise man who built his house on rock. 25 The rain came down. The water came up. The wind blew and hit the house. The house did not fall because it was built on rock. 26 Whoever hears these words of Mine and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down. The water came up. The wind blew and hit the house. The house fell and broke apart.” Matthew 7:24-27 NLV

"Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward." Psalms 127:3

R.O.C.C.K. PARENTING

Parenting For Purpose

By Veronica Primus, January, 2024

We are entrusted with a precious gift

A child to love and nurture and uplift

We are called to guide them in the way

To teach them how to live and how to pray

We are not here to mold them to our will

But to help them discover and fulfill

The purpose that God has for them to do

With the gifts and talents that He gave them, too

We are here to support them and inspire

To challenge them and cheer them and admire

The person that they are and will become

The work that they will do, the race they'll run

We are here to show them God's great love

To point them to His grace and power above

To model what it means to follow His teaching

To achieve goals for their lives they will be reaching

We are parenting for purpose, not for fame

We are raising up a generation in His name

We are blessed to be a part of His plan

We are parents, an honor to understand.
